Need help to Identify this .60 Pattern Plane
I picked up this plane in a swap meet in Pittstburgh this last weekend. The owner did not know what it was. It was built from a kit as there are part markings on the fuse. The fuse is built up wood, the wings are foam covered with balsa and glassed. The plane has flaps and speed brakes. There is an O.S. 61 pumped rear exhaust with custom header to clear the nose gear and a pipe. I need to make a Belley Pan for this as there was none with the plane. I would like to know if the pan was glass or built up wood. A balance point would be nice to verify also.

If it is a original mk Blue angel for the 70-80s it didn't have built in pipe , and the engine didn't hang ..but it maybe modified!?

Nice looking airplane. The MK BLue Angel was a all wood kit, but it does bear a Strong resemblance to that airplane. What are the dimesions (length, span)? The Blue Angel was designed in the very early '70s and had a side mounted engine.

It most likely is an MK Cosmos due to the pipe running underneath. Doesn't have the belly pan however. The wing plan is not the Cosmos wing, so I would suspect it was put with this fueslage. I've built the Cosmos wing and it is no fun!
