Looking for Help (Pattern Sportsman)
I am new to pattern and it is hard for me to picture the manuvers from call sheets so I drew them out. Let me know what you think, and where I can improve.
Thanks
Michael

Looking for Help (Pattern Sportsman)
Hey Michael. The aresti looks good. this is a great way to visualize the sequence.
If I may, you have several mistakes in the aresti though. The Immelman and Split S only have 1/2 rolls. This is denoted by the curved roll line stopping at the horizontal line. Not going through it. What you have indicated, officially is a full roll at the top of the Immelman and a full roll at the start of the split S.
The 2 pt roll is officially denoted by one curved line with arrow, with a 2 beside it.
This is not to be picky but to let you know how the aresti is done. The horizontal roll is correct., as is everything else. Some IMAC contests only give you an aresti for the unknown on Sun morn, and knowing the symbols is paramount to flying it correctly.
Good luck with sportsman and hope you have a blast. by the way, I fly pattern also.

Thanks
Divesplat,
Thanks for the help. Last weekend our club put on an IMAC and Pattern Clinic focusing on the first 2 levels in each type of flying. This is the first time flying these it was a blast, especially with my new plane. The better flyers did the calling/coaching and boy did it help. Well I will make the corrections and repost it.

Partial Loops
Michael
You may realize this, but your drawings don't show that the main loop on the 1/2 (and 1/2 rev) Cuban 8 is 5/8ths of a circle, not 1/2. Just be aware that the 45-degr line of the manuever does not have an endpoint at the top of the loop, but an 1/8th of a loop more.

Looking for Help (Pattern Sportsman)
I know this thread is old, but I just wanted to say "thank you" for putting the Sportsman sequence into Aresti. I have been practicing IMAC basic, and got used to the Aresti, but now I am trying a NSRCA Pattern competition in just a week. I have never flown their sequence. I am used to glancing down at the Aresti, and finding whats next ( or what I missed! ), so this will help.
Thanks Again!
