http://www.australianpatternassociat...i%20finals.htm
Flown in stiff crosswind in. Rain stoppped play with 4 flights to go in round 3. At the restart it went calm. Fukuda, Bloodworth and Akiba took advantage of the conditions. Gavin Broadbent also flew in the good air but suffered a cam gear failure with 2 manouveres to go.

RE: CAOCC 2004
Ill get some more photos uploaded soon ish. Ill also edit up a video of some flying in a few days.
Having never seen pattern comp flying before it was awesome to see these guys flying in such difficult conditions and so precisely too. If I could ever fly a little bit as good Id be stoked for sure.

RE: CAOCC 2004
I dont have any detail shots, just similar to whats been posted above.
I dont know what a Snotrag is Doug, but I believe his plane is the greenish one in the top and middle shots posted above. I only remember it powered by a YS140DZ, most, that had engine decals on them, were OS decals. I do know that Bill Bloodworths was an OS160 on pipe.
I didnt get around to editing any video yet, spent the day repairing my two models.

I was the assistant contest director for the CAOCC event.
I can tell you that Frazer flew his "SMUDGE" otherwise known as a SMARADG for all flights bar one when he had to call on his backup model when the DZ refused to start.

Onda only brought one model with him - Austral X
He is a definite world champion in the making. His performances during the week were quite impressive however he was on fire by the time e reached the finals and blew everyone away by winning all 4 rounds on the day.
France should be very interesting.
