New!OTOP Xtreme Composite Pattern Plane
OTOP Xtreme!!
I just got a sneak peek at a new composite pattern plane that Planes Plus is working on. I over heard that the plane will be offered in different configurations, pattern specific and/or artistic aerobatic. The planes are painted in the mold and it is possible to get any scheme you want.
You can get the plane with both sets of wings and change per the event you are in. I understand the plane will be flown at the Hobby Expo in Las Vegas show this month. Planes Plus is looking for feed back, give Don a call at 630-904-9983 for more detailed information.
I am working on the new Dream 110 pattern design aroung the YS 110. This is a balsa and foam plane covered in Monokote, extremely light. I will have pictures tomorrow. I am working with Don and Andrew Jeskey to get the flight on the Dream 110 soon!

Hey Matt,
We are looking at 800-900 depending on paint scheme for one set of wings and 1200-1300 for the complete 2 wing package.

Hey Greg
how's the dream 110 coming? I talked to andrew about the OTOP flight. and he said it flew really well. The precision is real good even with the 3D wings.. So we have to see ,or at least I will .. DOn I want to Fly this bird!! dewey

These are very nice looking planes .. This one was at a comp last weekend..
First round ended badly as the fuse cracked all the way around 6 inches in front of the fin,was only about 2 1/2 inches holding the rest of the tail on.
Landed safely. Was a wright off.I didnt get a photo of the damage, wish i did now.

It wasnt a mid air he was flying the first round of masters on a single flight line and was about half way through(dont know what he was up to)and just as i looked at the plane in the air there was a big bang.He did a slow and low pass to see what was wrong but came around again and landed it and she was broken.

RE: New!OTOP Xtreme Composite Pattern Plane
Hey Rgreen24,
This was my Otop plane that Vortec wrote about.
The model is fixable and will be flying again shortly, the reason for braking is still uncertain, the brake has come about a fatigue point in the body about 20cm in front of the tail. This fatigue at this time I believe has come from damage in transit from Thailand the Australia as the box that the fusalage was in was damaged.
When opened the box the model looked OK from the outside so I quickly finished the model and flew it. At the time it had only had 16 flights.
I must say Xtreme Composites have been very good in helping me out in trying to sought out want has happened so other people do not have this happen to them.
