Hey!

Does anyone know where I can get a wrap around header for my OS 91 FX?

I plan to use this engine in a pattern model and so far I have not succeeded in finding one. I know OS has one that is suitable for 160 FX, unfortunately Ï'm afraid that's not the case with 91 FX.

I don't know of a source in Europe but Karl Mueller makes beautiful headers of the
type you are looking for. I have one for my 91FX & it works great and tucks nicely around
the engine.
I don't have his email address handy but I am sure if you do
a search in the pattern forum you'll find it.
He is in Canada and I suppose would ship to Norway.

Thanks for the answers I have received so far!

I wonder if OS plan to develop an original wrap around header for 91 FX since 90 size pattern models are quite common. Someone told me that I could buy the wrap around header for 160 FX and use an aluminium plate in order to minimize the hole so that it would fit the 91 FX. But I'm not sure whether that would be a good idea?

I personally will not recommend using Hatori 160 wraparound header for OS 91. It was designed for Akiba's plane. I don't remember the name of it.
You will add more weight to the entire setup because of the atapter plate, longer coupler etc
unless you are planning to use the header with just a long silencer not the tuned pipe..
I am using Karl Mueller's 91FX wraparound header that is with specific height that I need for my plane.
Try contacting all those shown above with your specific requirement for the header and choose the one suit you.

I've used a Hatori 1.60 header with an adapter plate on on OS.91Fx without problem. Worked just fine.

Try Justengines in the UK, where Paul and Jenny Landels will gladly and very efficiently assist in building you any custom header you need. I have had two made for different planes using my OS .91 FX.
