wagen
what sort of soft mount did you use?
i have a dave brown soft mount (rail type) but when installed, it raises the engine off the bearers too far so that the crankshaft does not line up with the centre of the nose cone. It seems that the only way i can soft mount it, is to have an altered thrust line... otherwsise i am thinking of beefing everything up with glass cloth and hard mounting the motor...

RE: SURPASS-90 Pattern Plane - Has anyone heard of them before?
I mounted the engine directly to the hardmount of the plane, but raised this by adding some ply in between (otherwise it did not line up as well). To reduce noise and vibrations, I overdrilled the holes and used rubber D-locks to mount the engine. To ensure that consequently the engine did not fall out one day (I was not so convinced that the D-locks wil actually hold the engine in place overtime) I used longer screws which after passing thru the D-lock screwed into a plate. Hope this helps.
Here a picture of the engine mounted with the original screws supplied (this was before I replaced this, and added the D-locks). You can see the added ply.

Hello, I am new to the forum:)
I just bought a surpass90 and I plan to mount a os95ax, what type of exhaust pipe did you use to integrate a resonator?
PS: sorry for the syntax, I use google translation

I used a tuned pipe, but it is not so easy since the wing is one piece (I assume it still is).
I would suggest to use the standard exhaust, but don't know if it will fit right away.

I would like to use a tuned pipe but I do not find the connection to return under the fuselage, the 95ax is a lateral exhaust. It should be a pipe in the shape of S and more elevated.

I used a Merker pipe and header. You can find them at http://www.merker-modellbau.de/System.htm
I guess Hatori would have a solution as well.

that was on a OS-91 FX. You best send them an email of what you want, let's see if they have a solution.
