Walter,
Sorry to hijack your thread but could you elaborate on the setup issues with your Genesis? I am really puzzled with my setup, lots of down mix with left rudder application and up mix with right rudder. Knife edge flight, slow, and point rolls are really troublesome....

Best regards to all the fliers for the Comp. Is it the SA Nats? Good to see so many "old faces" attending! (esp in FAI/ PO7). Special hello to Andre, Pierre, Dean, Marc, Danie, Burt and all other SA long-timers!
Bill Michie.

Hi Bill
Gee Wizz... never thought I would here from you here! Can't remember when last we saw each other, back in the "fun fly" days.
Yip... it's the SA Nats, and it's being held in Cape Town at Tygerberg MFC. Some of the Vaalies are already here geting used to the sea level conditions (and the wind) It's been a tough last few weeks for me... I lost my Alliance under mysterious curcumstances, just as I got my Synergy ready. then after 22 flights, my elevator servo arm came off! (what are the chances of that!) and I lost the second plane in less than a month Ouch! Anyway, I have just finnished a Genisis, which I test flew yesterday, and it seems to be OK.
It is interesting to read "Aresti's" comments, as mine needs NO elevator coupling on the knife edge with right rudder, but quite a bit with left???
The other stange habbit it has is that it climbs vertically in a straight line, but when comming vertically down, it drifts to the RIGHT ???
Can't wait for Marcello to arrive so that I can find out the cause!!
Regards to all
Marc Wolffe

RE: South Africa Pattern Comp
Results as follows...
1- Marcelo Colombo (Argentina)
2- Andre Stockwell (South Africa)
3- Pierre Marais (South Africa)
4- Danie Potgieter (South Africa)
5- Marc Wolffe (South Africa)
6- Ian Wentzel (South Africa)
7- Carel Germishuis (South Africa)
That was the final result after the fly-off... there were 20 pilots in F3a at the SA nats, quite an achievment for a smallish country stuck out on the tip of Africa!!!
The weather was terrible during the event, with rain and strong winds during 3 of the 4 days... just typical, as the 2 weeks before, and every day since has been glorious, with very little wind and blue skies!
Maybe Walter can post some pic's from the event... I know he has some?!
Regards
Marc.
