Anyone still going to this event? It has preety much been decided at the NATS that D6 rules so I guess there wont be any real interest in those ole boys fom d3 to come over and get embarrassed......ya'll ought to come on over anyway and take notes.....it will be THE event this year!!!!

Okay, here's what we'll do. You all put up your best guy and we'll put up our best guy. I'll nominate Jason Shulman for D-3. How'd he do at the nats this year?.......

Our best will beat your guy any day!!!(sung to the tune of My Daddy can Whip your Daddy!!) With 5 classes I would think that whichever district takes 3 of the 1st place trophies would be a fair way to tell who won....but then when we sweep it wont really matter.....

D-6 has alot to live up to I went to the D-4 dist championships and after the feed that Sat. night it took me an hour or two before I could move. I'm bringing my plate with the sideboards.

Competition aside this event will be as much fun as a person can have at a pattern contest. Jon and JimT did such a great job at the Dixie contest, and I know Jon has put a lot of time and effort into the Cajun Nats so that it will be "off the hook!!!!" You guys from the D3 will be as happy as anyone can be going home empty handed.

Well, the time has passed but where was this contest? As a former Louisiana native, born there but moved on, I would enjoy the food. So where was this contest held?

This contest has not passed. it is at the end of October in Crowley, LA. Unfortunately I'll be out of the country and unable to attend. There is a slight chance I'll be back, in which case I'll definitely be there, but probably not...

RE: Cajun NATS ...D3 guys have a chance?
I would LOVE to see D3 be able to get Jason over here and let him and Wickizer duke it out on the P09 sequence. Unfortuantely I can't see Jason coming all the way to Louisiana to fly in a contest with the 09 sequences when a little over a week later he'll be flying in the worlds! As a patriotic American I'd rather see him use that time to practice so he can bring that championship trophy back to the good ole USA!!! OK, that being said, Wickizer will probably take the F3A trophy, and Glenn Watson will probably take the Masters. That leaves Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced up for grabs!!! As for me, I plan on winning intermediate...
OK... y'all stop laughing now!

Well the last time JAS and Brett duked it out, Brett came away with a big bowl of respect for Jason's abilities. Jason flew 2 incredible rounds in the FAI finals. I'm sure Jason could fly P-09 as an unknown and be very competitive. Not downplaying Brett at all and with a little more experience playing with the big guys the future will be interesting.

RE: Cajun NATS ...D3 guys have a chance?
The first time I saw Brett fly was at a contest in Baton Rouge 2 seasons ago when he was flying advanced and he also tried his hand at FAI flying against Dr. Mike. I told people at that time that Brett was very gifted and he should continue to fly FAI. There was some debate about it, but I think he made the right decision and this was confirmed by his finish at the Nats this year. Brett has all the tools to make the team and I believe he will. Keep it up Brett!!!

I regret to inform you guys that I won't be able to make any contests in the future due to my inability to leave my own room. Dern head won't fit through the doorway anymore...
Really appreciate the comments guys, let's get back on topic though.
Did I hear there was going to be a comedian???
