Default Onda's Narlar

Has anyone got any hints, clues or "inside" information regarding the possible commercial production of Onda's Narlar F3A Bipe . .

A very nice looking, and I expect, flying plane (based on his results).

Regards, Jeff

I think it would be difficult to manufacture. It's a large airplane and has a very delicate construction. If they did produce it commercially, I would imagine that it would very expensive. Very nice flying airplane though. It's absolutely beautiful in person.

Hi Jeff,

I always assumed that the OXAI "Adventurer" and the "Nalar" were the same model.

Thanks Peter . .

Hmmmm . . you may be correct. Possibly a "massaged" version of the Narlar? . . or an earlier version?

I have seen Rob Clarkes Adventure fly. It presents very nicely.

Either way, I think they are both Naruke designs ?

Cheers, Jeff

The Narlar is alot older design than the Adventure. It started out in the 90's as a monoplane. There have been several iterations of the Narlar to get to the verson Onda flew at the WC.

Default RE: Onda's Narlar

The latest Narlar Bipe flown at the Worlds 2007 and the Adventure are not the exact same model. However they are very close. If you compare the lines side by side the models are extremely close to each other. Yes the Narlar Bipe Onda flew at the Worlds is a hand built plane by Nishioka in Japan. These are extremely expensive models. I have heard close to $10K for the airframe alone. This makes the Oxai price look like a bargain. And that is if you can get one built. The list is very exclusive. As Ryan Said the model has evolved over the years and the last 3 World Championships. The current model is quite large as is the Euphoria designed by Quique Somenzini.

I have been flying my Adventure for over a year. Its a very good model as are all the Oxai produced models. It has some very good attributes. Its a very graceful flying model and does things well. The great thing about the Oxai models is both the Euphoria and Adventure are well under weight. My Adventure is right at 10.5lbs and the Euphoria is about 10lb 11-12oz. So they have lots of room to spare under the weight limit. They are wood models and are very stiff. The model is lightly built and takes some care, but they don't fall apart after 20-30 flights like another commercially produced Bipe on the market. Another added feature is no flying wires, and easy assembly. Only 2 bolts to attach the lower wing then the rest of the model plugs together and no tools needed. This technique is used on both the Adventure and the Euphoria.

The Biplane Narlar is not generally available in present and the past. It is a limited product for a few expert flyers (like Mr.Onda). The builder is Mr. Nishioka. He is famous for artistic production of F3A planes in Japan.
This plane was designed by a F3A world champion (1995 & 1997) Mr. Naruke in 2003. He also designed Adventure, so I think both are almost brother planes.
Some pictures I attached show a Narler participated in the F3A Japan championship in 2006.

Hi, aeious11
I'm not sure about its difference between the 2006 version and the 2007 version. However, Onda might have obtained new one for the world championship in 2007. Anyway, there are few Narlars in the world and they will be different one by one due to handmade.

Nishioka's recent planes are here. http://www2.cnet.ne.jp/yamatoz/
Suzuki's new plane is here. http://www1.odn.ne.jp/~chm30860/new-model-info.htm

The Narlar is an exclusive model,it is not for sale and is made only by Mr. Naruke, he told me, it is not available, will not be, he said the cost of the aircraft was $10.000.

Before I ise 17*13 for my Advanture! Now I use 17.8*11.6 for my Advanture....
That prop is Naruke modify from 18.1*10
Use this prop for advanture are much easy to fly!!
