Are MK/OK kits available in the western hemisphere ?

I built a Seduction a while back which was bought from Singapore hobbies, but I had to wait a very long time for it to reach via post.

There is no importer in North (and South as far as I know) America for MK kits. Altech Marketing has imported OK kits recently and may still.
I have ordered from SIngapore Hobbies on several occasions. IF they have the kit you want in their shop it usually takes 2 weeks or less to get it. However, if they have to wait, then, yes, it can take months []. I usually send an email to Singapore Hobbies inquiring about their current kit status before ordering.

I'm looking for a 50/ys63 kit, like the synergy or alliance or something along those lines
they are out of stock in the synergy
it appears that in Japan that size is popular

MK stopped production of balsa kits. There are no MK kits in Japanese market now.
I am not sure whether this matter is temporary or forever.

Check out the Yoshioka Imagine 50 kit. Singapore Hobbies may have one. I'm pretty sure Yoshioka is still making kits...??

You are right. Yoshioka is still producing their kits.
For your information, Ok finished production of EZ ARF this February.
