Sorry guys, just trying to lighten the mood.

I'm sure when it's ready we'll all get the low down. but that's why I don't allow cameras around my new projects. As soon as the first picture is taken, you may as well put it on the front page of the news. We're a small group and word travels like lightning. Pics travel faster than that.

But no I hadn't seen that page before Jon posted the link (thanks bro!)

OK Guys
Yes it`s my new airplane ,,No it`s not ready to be released.
That link was made for myself and the Manf. to share info. and report the testing and evaluation of the Model.
I screwed up and sent that link to a few trusted friends for feed back who breached my trust. []

I should know better,,However this project is over one and a halve years old I`m surprised it has lasted this long,,, it started as a effort to build just a few models for Brett Wickizer
but turned into something else due to time constraints.

I would like to take this time to Thank those who were involved with this project.
First, Mike Hester my first partner to help with the project ,cut some foam for me a lower deck, with a Masterfull job on that tricky cut ,and cut ,sheeted some wings and Stabs which I have not used but they are very nice as you would expect from him.
.
Mark Hunt did all the cad. work for the Wings and Stabs so the Manf. could CNC the wing and stab plugs.
he did a great job as always and saved me a lot of time.

This airplane was designed for the new patterns in FAI However ,it will be able to be flown in the other classes
it is set up for Electric or Glow , it has center hinge wings and stabs ,,with Robart Hingepoints these are the finest composite pattern wings I have seen and the factory has worked very hard to meet my demands and so far I`m pleased.
The airplane will be available shortly But we want to be sure this release is better than my last Model LOL.

I want to let the Manf, introduce it when they are ready on their website,,hopefully a few weeks after all feedback and pricing has been worked out
thanks for the interest in this airplane.
you won`t be dissapointed when it is available.
So Look,
it`s not that it`s undercover,, But I am held to my word with the company producing it, to be professional about the arrangements till they are ready to start the production models
should be a few weeks so stay tuned!!

The airplane looks good, Bryan.

At first I thought that the secrecy a little ludicrous, as well as taking the pictures down after everyone had seen them. However, since you are working with a manufacturer that will have hundreds of thousands of dollars tied up in this thing, it's understandable. Regardless of all that it looks good; I can't wait to see one in person!

Nothing like a little pre-release humour

Looking forward to its release with a LOT of interest. I have heard GREAT things about your past designs, Bryan.

Hope it's light so I don't have to save up for "NASA Approved" LiPos

Cheers, JB

Somebody catch that cat and put it back in the bag!!!

Oh well now that it's out.....

1st you're more than welcome Bryan. Wish I could have done more for you. Now I have access to a laser scanner and lots of CNC stuff....wish I would have had access to it back then.

Secondly I'll say if you liked the Quest, this might be the plane you've been looking for. It has very Quest-like styling. I know that Bryan is flight testing this bird and making sure it flies right and the construction works, that's why the "secrecy". You'd be suprised how many planes go to market without ever being tested, or not being tested enough. Those are the ones with well documented issues after the fact.

Another reason for "secrecy" is you wouldn't believe how many people will bug you asking questions if they know you're working on something new/cool. Don't get me wrong, it's great! But it's also extremely time consuming. Unless you don't answer, and then you're being a "jerk". if you're under the gun, it's best to just keep it hushed up until the hard work is done. I learned that one the hard way

I can't wait to see this one in person. It's an interesting design that is a bit different in style than what else is out there.

All you can do when the cat gets out of the bag like this is try and lighten the mood. I'm sure Jon intended no harm whatsoever. But he's still on double secret probation.....

What for?! I'M not the one who put up the pictures on the internet with no user name/password required! I'm also not one of the "trusted friends" who were told (?) not to spread the link around. I got the link with no strings attached.

This reminds me of the days when Aviation Week (better known as "Aviation Leak") would publish photos of new Soviet planes, and we had seen the same pictures days before with classification markings all over them.

Brian, as Mike said, no malice intended. I, for one, will be very interested to see the plane in person, as a potential buyer.

It's hard to get the $h!@ Back in the horse once it gets out. But knowing Jon personally, Mike is correct Jon meant no harm and might I add that there was no warning of the super secret nature of the link.

Bryan- people may have let your cat out of the bag because they themselves are excited about your latest work maybe more so than you are. It comes with the territory but you know this already!!!

I look forward to seeing it in action!!!!!As well as a couple of other super secret projects coming out this year... (Hint Hint) [sm=spinnyeyes.gif][sm=spinnyeyes.gif][sm=spinnyeyes.gif]

Hey Jon ,,
I know you ment no Harm ,,,and I put the blame on myself for trusting too many people 4,
this was not some conspiracy to slow leak it ,, lol
I don`t play games like that ,Heck I wish we could have got it out last year
But I have obligations to keep
And for the record I know who let it out the CIA has tracking you know [sm=punching.gif],, and no Jon was not the Guy
it`s not a real big deal there have been changes made to that airplane since those phot`s

Jon I wanted to got to the Harvest contest with this thing But the Manf. asked me not to [] wanted to go the Prop Nuts again the Manf. asked me not to,,
He wanted no pictures of it till My Scheme was completed and the airplane was in production ,,,just because of the speculation issues.

Again no harm was done But the Cookie was not quite baked LOL.

My airplane is 10.8 pounds with the CDI this is a good weight for the fist one out of the molds.

Glad I didn't start a thread when I got the link, lol.. I kinda knew better though. When I get pics, and other info from people about new designs, and there is no info out there already from those flying it or the designer, it's somewhat obvious to me.

Bryan, sorry this happened, but I am glad you designed it so that it can be built for electrics. As I told you at the nats last year, I am a big fan of your designs, and would have a few Shinden's if they would have made weight as an electric. I have to buy 2 new planes for moving up to FAI next year. Hopefully these will be out soon enough so I can do that. Hope to see you at the nats!

I want to congratulate Mr. Bryan Hebert for his new design. This plane is made by OXAI. You are a really clever and inteligent guy. I don´t know if all this thread was real or just a big ball of smoke to keep our eyes distract with the Valiant while your Shark been tested. I don´t even know if the Valiant is true.

I take my hat of, congratulate and salutte you.[sm=thumbs_up.gif]

I think you deceived as all.
