Very nice!

I see you live in High Point, do you fly at CCRC? I fly up at GRAMS but come down occassionally to CCRC. Do you fly pattern?

Sometimes they all look alike! I wonder what is the difference and if it also flies better as they intended it to.

Hello Ryan,
I have a CCRC club membership form sitting on my coffee table right now.

I have always been interested in Pattern planes. I've liked to fly pattern planes, but I never flew in competition. I never did all the practice required. I never learned to build planes or Heli's either.

I was flying the novice and sportsman class maneuvers, but never flying them correctly.

Then for numerous reasons, I dropped out of RC for years and years, but flying Heli's or planes every once in a while.

Actually, the Asyuler is also available as a kit from Naruke Hobby direct. The cost of the kit is abut 118,000 JPB, which is abut 1,300 USD. The 'full build' price is over 600,000 JPY or so. I' looking to buy the kit - which has a lead time of 30 days at leastl

I think It is much more expensive than 1.300. there is no way you get a naruke design by that cost. as I understand it is sold by Oxai only as they normally sell it which is very finished.

http://www.oxai-rc.com/main/detail.aspx?ID=69

which makes me think it will not be under 3000 usd.

can't wait to see some flight reports as well as some building info

Mvelez:

Actually, I just ordered it yesterday via a friend in Japan. It really is 118,000 JPY. This is for the basic kit only - not built-up. The fully built and painted version costs 567,000 JPY, which at today's exchange rate is about $6,000. The partially built-up version (unpainted) is about 300,000 JPY. So basically, with the base kit at 118,000 JPY, what you're really paying for us the time it takes Naruke Hobby to build and paint the plane.

Naruke also has the "Super Aries" kit. You can check that at : http://homepage3.nifty.com/naru/s_aries_kit.htm

The key is that the Asyuler Kit has no instructions, no pictures. There are some pictures of the Aries build at: http://homepage3.nifty.com/naru/page054.htm, and the guys at Naruke Hobby said that the build of the Asyuler is very similar. So I decided to get the Asyuler rather than the Aries.

To order, you'll have to get someone to call them and speak in Japanese. Very few people in Japan speak English.

Anyone have their hands on an Oxai Asyuler yet?

I'm very interested in the component weights. (wing, fuse, bellypan stabs)

Also, when Oxai state a "net weight" of 2450g does that include the legs and wheel pants?

Thanks in advance

From the Naruke Website, the all-up weight of the OXAI-Asyuler is 4.65 to 4.75 Kg, with the YS 170 CDI installed.
