Default New 11X JR Radio

Looked on Sebarts web site today and saw a picture of a new JR 11X Radio.
Kind of a wild looking thing ! I wonder how long before it's available ? I'm
sure they'll have it in Japan first.

That's old news (4 months or so). Check out RC Groups, there is a big discussion on the new Radio. I understand it won't be available in the US. It is already for sale in Japan.

It's made by Cylons, I think I saw somewhere in RCGroups it's to be announced in the US yet, not sure if I'm right.

I'm not sure why it wouldn't be for sale in the US.

I guess I'm more puzzled by the need for an 11 channel radio unless there is some big programming/capability breakthrough over the 12x.

You're living a sheltered life.
This was on the web Oct. 1 ....

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but in this case you are welcome to my share as it looks like a "Transfomer" inspired design.
Unless there is some compelling new technology/software included (and there has been no such statement in any language to date) then I have ZERO interest.....which ties into their promotional scheme.

I'll have mine in January (was going to be in December, but delayed).

From what I understand, it is NOT a successor to the 12X. The 12X has many more features than the 11X.

The 11X seems to be more an advancement on the X9303 (9XII) as it is very similar but with some added nice features.

It should retail for less than US$1000 including a R1221 Rx (which seems to be the standard offering with it) . . at a guess

In my opinion the 11X is the way the 12X should have look like, I love my 12X, but is really a 10X with the 9303 buttons and scroll with new software, and I really love the new software, but I will also love to go back to the touch screen.

So if it has the same software as the 12X and going to get it just for the way it looks, no matter what, I'm pretty sure I'm the only one that might think like that.

I agree . . it is going to be one of those Love/Hate things I am sure . .

I currently use the 9303 (9X) and like it BUT it is getting old, and mine is not 2.4g. I have been wanting to go to 2.4 for a while and was about to buy a 12X even though it had a lot of features my tiny brain couldn't ever work with [] . . I like simple things .

The 11X ZERO (like to know what THAT means ) just spec'd well for me . . so that's the way I went. I think it looks kinda cool, but was not the motivating factor.

Nop, it's still DSM, they call it DSMJ, but it's the same, look at the receiver page and you will see the 931 is the same(probably) 921, has leds for antenna 1 and 2, but also says 1 and 2 in red for the satellite receiver; It's on the spec page.

The US version of the 11X will be for sale in the US, however, the production schedule for the US version is substantially behind the Asian/Euro version. This is similiar to the last couple major JR releases. The US and Asian/Euro versions generally have some minor differences in software/manuals.

Hello Dave,

I know Horizon makes changes or customize certain things on the software specially, but, what are the usual changes made and how are they determined if you know?

Thanks

Apeira,
I do not know what formula / demographic Horizon considers for differences between the Asian/Euro JR TXs vs the US versions. Biggest change is that the manuals are written in English, and not translated, and this makes them easier to read.

Doug,
Less than the 12X, more than the X9303 <G>. I've not heard if the price will be in the middle, or closer to either one.

Dave Lockhart
