Come on over, Greg, we'd love to have you! Jon Martin really puts on a great contest, and it's hard to beat the pilots' dinner Saturday night with the presentation of the Ray Rhodes trophy.

Did anyone get some closeup pictures of Brian Hebert's Valiant with the aerodynamic band..., oops, err, "performance enhancements" ?(sorry Brian, I just couldn't resist!). I'd like pictures of the strakes on the cowl, and the fin on the bottom center. I've got pictures of the dorsal and fences on the vertical. I was trying to describe them to some friends this weekend, and they wanted pictures.

In reading the Nats News, I see reports of mid airs and also of Masters finalists flying something different than what they started with. What's the scoop? How was the flying in the other classes?

About the midairs.. From what I can recall from reports of past nationals, midair’s seem to happen from time to time in Muncie. I’m puzzled why this is allowed to happen. I have never been there so I don’t know the circumstances of the flying site, but a question that pops up in my head is if the flying site will be organized differently to prevent midair’s at the worlds next year?

I saw that, but that is just one of the three areas he modified. Missing is the fin on the belly, and the strakes on the cowl.
Thanks anyway.

I believe that Brett's, Bryan's, and AC's planes all had the fin on the bottom at the Nats. I think Bryan's was the only one with strakes on the cowl.

Results, but no scores, are on Don Ramsey's site, here:
http://pages.suddenlink.net/donramsey/
Don't know where the scores are. Maybe Nats News on the AMA site?
