Rick,
Is your home 'puter still out?
I ordered the new head Monday night, should be here between the 20th and 24th.
Really looking forward to this one!

Here's a pic of our flying site during last year's contest. Lots and lots of room, but not far from the Interstate, hotels and restaurants.
It would be nice to see about twice as many canopies lined up this year.

I don't think we'll be seeing Mike there. He's still in domestic recovery mode from the Nats.

My home computer is sick and at Doctor Pete's. I should be able to fly Friday and we'll get a heads up on prep for the contest. Glad to hear Dave had some success with the Syssa and is hoping it will be his bird of choice in the contest.
Get Gordy to fly with us... Dave said he is really doing well with his new eyes!

Hello All,
I am comitted now; just made the hotel reservation. I am hoping to be able to take a 1/2 day of vacation tomorrow, so I should be at the field around 5 pm. With a little luck, I might sneak in a practice flight as well (I know I could use a few more...).
Aside from Bill and myself, anyone else flying Sportsman?
Teo

Teo,
You mentioned taking a half day of vacation tomorrow...are you aware that the contest dates are August 28 and 29? Just making sure.
We believe Sportsman will include Peter Van Huesden and Dan Bregar plus yourself, Bill, Dave Ruminski from our club and maybe one or two others depending on work schedules. We're still hoping for other pilots to show up and give it a try, too.

Scott,
What a niconpoop. Thanks for pointing that out. I guess that I got a little too excited. I will change the reservation. In my defense, I just got back from Peru so I am a little off. I could use a few more practice flights anyway.
Thanks,
Teo

Notes:
The field will be open for practice by 1:00 Friday afternoon.
Camping available but no hookups.
Directions: From I-70, take exit 213. South to US 40, then turn West.
Left on County Road 84, go South approximately two miles to the green gate.

Teo,
There should be plenty of competition in Sportsman. Bill, yourself, Dave Ruminski, Dan Breagar,Pete Vanheusden and Val.
Maybe more. We had more Sportsman than any other class last year and hope for a few surprise entrants.

Hello Guys,
Glad to hear that we might have 6 or more sportman entries. It should make it fun. It will be also interesting to see what other people are flying.
