Any way I could get a 110 to Greece? I have a 1.20 ax looking for a home. Options in this plane class are limited, if any, and the 110 is hard to find. Already checked f3aunlimited but no luck. Only saw it in rcwings.co.kr with a price tage around 305 euros plus shipping. No English on the web site and google didn't help much. If anyone knows were I could get one of those I'd really appreciate it.

My 110 is on the way and should be here by the end of next week, so thanks 'andsky' for the help.
BJ have a really friendly service and they were very willing to ship the kit directly to me since they don't have a dealer in Europe.
I suppose other customers from Europe are quite welcome.
I'll try to post some build pictures as soon as I have some free time to get my hands on it.

For now here are the links for the manual and setup for the 110, they have sent me

Thanks. Good to know. For now I am not in for another plane, however I do have a complete "hardware" kit (motor/ESC/servo's) with no plane, so you never know....Maybe Santa will spring a surprise!

New color scheme for the Monolog. All of the new 2012 Monologs have this scheme. This is for all sizes, 400, 70, 110, 2M

RE: F3A MONOLOG 2X2 F3A METER

Just to update this thread and because I had the opportunity to see my best friend Kirk fly his new Monolog yesterday, I would like to know what kind of success other Monolog owners are currently having. Prior to yesterday, I had not seen the 2m Monolog fly. Needless to say for an $850 pattern plane, it was impressive! IMHO based on value for what you have spent and the quality of the product, this is the BEST I have seen in my 25+ years of flying pattern, BAR NONE! Because I am a fan and user of the Contra-drive, my question is has anyone out there considered retro-fitting this plane with a Contra-drive? No matter what power source you are using, please contribute to this thread so that others can get an idea of which Monolog combination may be affordable for them. You can spend more but that does not guarantee you will get more! This is a prime example. Thanks in advance, Everette

Thanks for the nice endorcement Everette.
I've never flown the Monolog 2M but have seen a number of them at pattern contsts and everyone seems happy with the plane.
I'm almost for certain that is flys just like the Prolog which I've owned and now a number of people own. The Prolog is fantastic.
Do you think a contra would fit into a Monolog 2M? Thanks and I'm happy that Kirk likes the plane. Mike Mueller

By the way. I just checked inventory and we still have a few of these left. I can do a package deal with the same setup Kirk is running. A Himax 210 outrunner with a CCHV80 ESC and the plane. If interested give me a shout and I'll shoot you a price. Thanks, Mike Mueller

Also just to be clear the paint scheme on the picture with BJ Park and the Monolog2Mof the last post if different.
Here's what we have:

Just a quick question. Does anyone know the basic weight of the 2M Monolog fuse including the canopy and chin/motor cowl? If you do, would you please post it below. Thanks, Everette

wattsup 10-26-2012 03:26 AM

RE: F3A MONOLOG 2X2 F3A METER

I was able to find the average weight for the 2M Monolog fuselage, canopy and chin cowl and it is the same average weight for the Episode, Nuance and the Prolog: 2.42 lbs/38.7oz/1098 grams. I would same without any doubt that Mr B.J. Park has figured out what uniform weight works best with his designs and has applied it to the quality control standards during production of the different pattern models. Talk about opening up possibilities___Just thought someone else might want to know. Regards, Everette

Aside from the airframe, what other HW comes with the kit?

Curious as to what I use and don't use with the 2M Monolog kit.

Is there a manual  or parts list I can get a copy of?

RE: F3A MONOLOG 2X2 F3A METER

OK, on Saturday the big white FedEx truck came and dropped off the 2M Monolog...

First glance, better than expected...

Looking at the directions, I have a couple of questions...

1) Anybody build in Dual Elevator Servos Vs, using a the old bent wire connecting the two halves?

2) What other wing attachments did people come up with. Not too keen on using a rubber band to hold the wings on...

3) Anybody swap out the landing gear for CF gear (it might be painted CF, I don't know)? I guess the better question is, anybody have problems with the stock gear?

4) Control Horns, are there hard points in the controls surfaces to allow use of different control horns?

Think that is about it... I have a sheet each of FG and CF Nomex Honeycomb. I might replace some of the trays to save additional weight, any thoughts?

Larry D.

Hey Larry

1) Yes, I put JR 3421 in each side, you will have to build a plate to fit for small servos but that's no problem.

2) I also did not like the rubber band at first but is is easy and works well. After about 25 flights I see no reason to try anything else I use 3 at a time . I also zip tied my Aileron wire to the arm so that it will take it through the fairing to the inside when you slide the wing on.

3) I think all of BJ Craft planes have the same type gear. I have never heard of any problems with them.

4) I used the horns and all the hardware that came with it. The balsa felt hard, after I cut the slot I saturated it with thin CA then used epoxy to glue them in. I had always used bolts all the way through in the YS days but with little or no vibration it just is not needed anymore.

Did you get the combo deal from F3AU?

If I can help let me know

http://rcone.kr/board/index.html?id=bjreference1&no=18

Also read this design report it is mostly about the Prolog but starts off on the Monolog I applied all of the servo and control suggestions to the Monolog and came out really good.

Guys as requested by quite a few people the Monolog 2 meter version is now available in a uncovered ARC version.

Before you say it's not much of a price difference let me say this. Your probably right but it is what it is and this is the way to go for those choosing to be creative and like to cover. It's beautifully done.
Thanks, Mike Mueller
