Jetero Pattern Shootout - June 4/5
1 Attachment(s)
Jetero RC club is hosting the Jetero Pattern Shootout on June 4/5 at our field on the northeast side of Houston Texas. This will be our 8th year and we intend to put on a first class event. We have been grateful to have several new pattern flyers and also more seasoned pilots including USA world team flyers at our event and this is a great opportunity to get a final tune up for the World F3A Championships and US Nationals in just a few weeks.
Our field has outstanding facilities with an 800 foot grass runway with no obstructions. We have running water, flushing toilets, electricity, a brand new air conditioned club house and a very large covered pit area over concrete. The field will be open for practice on Friday PM on June 3. This is a hard working club and we welcome our guests in in the Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and surrounding states to join us for a great weekend of flying. Don't miss the event !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ron Barr - Contest Director |

Hey Ron,
May mother nature smile on you for the contest weekend, May all the pilots have their airplanes "dialed in" to perfection, May your CD duties be "low pressure" where you also have a good time. :) Pat Willcox Jetero President |
RE: Jetero Pattern Shootout - June 4/5
Ditto from here. I missed the last year's event because I was doing Flight-Line work for IMAA Ralley at Bomber Field. This year I have a grandson graduating from High School in San Antonio. I feel a need to be there.
As Pat said, hope it all goes great and the weather gods are super friendly. Maybe next year I will get to flip burgers again. :D |

Ron:
I will be attending. I will be the advance man for the scorekeeper and her husband. My duties are to have the camper set up for their arrival (LOL). Ed Valls |
RE: Jetero Pattern Shootout - June 4/5
Didn't you perform those same duties last time at the Space City contest?
|
RE: Jetero Pattern Shootout - June 4/5
Dean:
I did. I believe I am "booked" to perform these duties at Jetero, the Georgetown event and the Nats. After that my "contract" is up and we will "renogiate" the deal. I figured if I fly middle of the pack I should be of some use to someone. LOL. You did really well if your first pattern event. Hope to see you at Jetero. Ed |

Should be a HOTLY contested event. There will be HEATED competition at all levels. The outcome will depend on which way the WIND blows. This is one event where if you can't stand the HEAT you need to stay out of the kitchen. Actually should be HOT time in the old town tonight!! Dont get left hanging in the BREEZE. Come on out and have some fun!!
It will be fun seeing the usual suspects again. Peace!!! |

Great contest Ron, Dick and Jetero club. I still thought the idea of flying out of the A/C'd clubhouse window is something to consider for next year! ;)

Thanks for all the kind words for the club. We have a great bunch of pattern flyers in the Texas / Louisiana / Arkansas (yes even Mike Harrison from Arkansas you are one of the good ones !!!!) I got to meet a lot of new people.
We had 31 contestants which was down a little from previous years .... seemed to be the effects of high gas prices and limited budgets with the economy. |
RE: Jetero Pattern Shootout - June 4/5
Thanks a lot Ron, and all you guys at Jetero. The organization, judging, field, food, everything FIVE STARS. And the most important the fellowship with all the guys at the contest.
Happy Landings to you all. Luis and Bill |
