Will a futaba 2.4Ghz FHSS TX bind to any other receiver other than Futaba brand?
If so, what kind?

thank you

I am using the FrSky FASST compatible, so far so good! It has high (7ms) and low (14ms) speed modes, full compatible with FASST multi (8+ channels) and 7Ch.

No, Futaba FASST and Futaba FHSS systems use different codes.

Futaba FAAST has two codes; 7 channel and Multi. The Tx that are FAAST 7 ch are all the FAAST MODELS. ONLY the T8FG and higher are multi channel FAAST.

TimBle,

What you are talking about is "MODE" (7Chn MODE and Multi MODE) what the OP is asking is about the protocol use in Futaba's FASST (by the way, not FAAST) and the new low entry FHSS system from Futaba (for parkflyers only I think) that is not comparable with FASST.

Hi Solar,

No, that's the only one out thus far: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXYVD4&P=0

I haven't seen anything out there (clones) yet.

Regards,
Doug.

The following is quoted from the Comments section of Tower Tech Info on the receiver

"This receiver does not work with the Futaba FASST system. Use only
with the Futaba 4YF 2.4GHz FHSS system. Futaba FASST systems and
FHSS systems are not compatible with each other."
