Depending what you have in mind by "that will work".

Will work electronically?
Will fit in the case? (Just remove the previous one and put in the 2.4 using the same screws at the same place).

Both as a requirement?
It is logical to assume that a replacement should physically fit in.

What are you planing to receive ?
2.4 Ghz receivers have some requirements also.

Ya ___that is all obvious, is it not ? But may not be for the beginners (like me).
