ESC and UBEC

I know how to wire up the power wires my question is do I still put the plug from the ESC into channel three and what channel do I plug in the UBEC

"do I still put the plug from the ESC into channel three" Given that you have a Futaba TXor a Hitec TX or clones thereof yes, otherwise refer TXmanual for correct order on RXports, this if you want to operate the throttle with your throttle stick.
Receiver - Channel Assignments, which to use as determined by different brands of TX
ESCmust be plugged into the throttle channel ,which varies acording to the brand of TX.
The "UBEC"a brand name or any other similar "Switch Mode Regulator" can be plugged itno any other spare channel or Y with a servo.
