Kraft Spectrum 6 Transmitter Batteries
Does anyone know the battery configuration, and location in the transmitter, for a Kraft Spectrum 6 Transmitter. I found a couple small spaces in each lower corner but they will hold only three AA,s max each. Could it be a 7.2V transmitter?

RE: Kraft Spectrum 6 Transmitter Batteries
Kraft Gold Spectrum 6 transmitters have two 4-cell battery packs. They are AA size. SR batteries and Radio South make and sell replacement packs. The packs are a tight fit, one in each lower corner as you stated. These are good radios and worth taking care of. Good Luck. Richard

RE: Kraft Spectrum 6 Transmitter Batteries
I have a Kraft gold spectrum 6 system that I inherited, which is dead. Batteries do not take a charge.
The TX info is listed here, but what is normal for the Rx?
Thanks for any info

Batteries America has special packs for the Old Kraft and MRC:

You can also use two 4 cells square AA (one on each side) with appropriate wiring.

Normal for the Rx back in the day was a 600 mah 4.8V NiCad (4 AA cells).
I'd use NiMh now, posibly to 1600 mah, 4.8 V pack for normal (.40 size range) planes.

For the transmitter, I use Radio South for batteries. For the receiver, I suggest you do not use 6 volt, 5 cell batteries, only 4.8 volt, 4 cell batteries if the receiver or servos are Kraft.
