Default JR 642 TX err 1.0

When I powered this on today I got this on the screen err 1.0 ,anyone have any idea what the cause is?

Dead. If it is any like my old 8103, you have two options. One is to send it in to Horizon to have them change the battery for you. (Keep a log, you have to do this every 5 years or so). Option 2 is to do it yourself. Open the radio case, find th battery, unsolder it, and replace with a new one.

The bad news is that you most likely lost all the programming you had on that radio. Hopefully you used the sheets on the back of the manual to keep a copy of your programming. (Assuming that the 642 manual had those sheets)
