Default Futaba 9CAP advice request

Not being very proficient at programming I have decided to ask for help. I am trying to program the aileron function and not having much luck. If anyone has time to help work me through this function I would appreciate it. TIA

If you are using a servo on each Aileron, then you need to enable the Flapperon program. Be sure to connect the right Aileron servo to Ch1 and the left Aileron servo to Ch6. If you do not intend to isle the Ailerons as Flaps, set the Flap parametrs to zero and set Flap Trim to Inh.

When in doubt, go into the System Menu, and Reset the Model Memory to Factory Defaults. Now, set up Flapperons again.

Whenever I set up a new model, on my Tx, I reset the model memory, set the servo direction, attach the servo ARM as close to 90 deg as possible, and then use subtrim to tweak it to 90 deg.

David / Rich... I didn't see anywhere that the ailerons were to be used as flaps. Just the need for one servo per aileron. If this is the case, use channels 1 and 7 for the ailerons, and then go to the AIL-DIFF menu option and set MIX->ACT. Leave all other setting at default. These can be modified as you find you differential during axial rolls.

If you want to have the ailerons to also act as flaperons, you need to do what Rich said - Use Channels 1 and 6, go to FLAPERON and set MIX->ACT, and then go to FLAP-TRIM and set MIX->ACT, and set the rate to maybe 50%. That will allow you to have the VR(A) dial controlling the flaps (be sure that the dial is centered during normal flight...)

Best... Roger

Roger- I rarely use my Ailerons as Flaps, but I almost always use the Flapperon program or Wing Type for Dual Ailerons, because it is simple to activate and it does not waste a Programmable Mixer.

Flapperon should not affect the Elevator movement.

With my 9V, I always used Ailevator, for Dual Elevators.
