Default Converting 4 channel to a 5 channel radio?

I have read somewhere that some 4 channel radios can have a 5th channel added by performing some simple electrical modifications. I have a focus 4 radio and was wondering if it can be converted to a 5 channel as there was also a Focus 5 radio?

thanks,

Troy.

If you search around a bit you may find the information you're looking for for your xmitters. Keep in mind though it is illegal to perform the modification.

Sorry, if you can't find any info on it the only suggestion I can offer is buy a radio with more channels.

refer to Alan's Hobby, Model & RC Web Links
http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~atong/
" Servo & TX alterations, calculators, clonepacs, make an ESC or winch, FAQ." under "Radio Systems, Accessories, Alterations and FAQ"
e.g. "Futaba Skysport from 4 to 5 Ch. and Interface for PC"
or "expand Hitec Ranger 3ch to 7ch"
in need email direct for details.

Mr. RC-CAM,
Thanks heaps for that link. I have a part time home business repairing vcrs, and other small household appliances so will have no problems performing the modifications.
Thanks again

Allan,
Your website has heaps of great rc stuff. I was on there for hours looking around so thanks also.
