I'm looking for a one channel radio.. Not for anything rc, but rather an electric skateboard. The controller will operate the electric motor and also a braking system. Looking for something like this:

Anyone know where I can buy something close to that? Or would it be possible to make something similar?

I'm guessing an ESC is needed for the electric motor? And a servo for the braking mechanism?

Well, I'm sad to tell you that your picture is not an RC remote. It is a WIRED remote, You can clearly see the potentiometer just above the trigger and you can see the wires running down the "handle" towards a "plug" in the bottom of the handle.

What's wrong with getting a 2 channel pistol grip radio from a car? Those can ba had for cheap enough.
