antenna Routing: Top, Bottom, or Inside?
Will the metal pushrods inside an aircraft affect the antenna running inside the fuselage? The metal pushrods are inside plastic sleeves.
If I route the antenna out the bottom of the fuslage, the end of the antenna is near the metal clevises and metal tail wheel.
The only way to keep the antenna away from metal seems to be to route it from the top of the fuselage to the vert fin (but the antenna goes near the metal pushrods close to the sevos.
Is the proximity of the antenna to the pushrods a big deal?

I have always tried to route my antenna from the front of the palne ahead of the srevos out the fuse in a piece of fuel tubing and attach it to the top of the vertical stabilizer. Stay away from metal and I have had problems routing the antenna inside the airplane. I know this may not look as nice but sure gets better reception in my opinion.

If the antennae is too close to the metal pushrod it may cause a problem but I would not worry about it. Just run your antennae inside a push rod tube and enjoy!
