How do I change the receiver crystal in a Futaba RX to match the transmitter channel? my transmitter is on Chan 45, so would like to have the same in my other plane.

I don't fly Futaba, but I am on Airtronics. On Airtronics RXs, I just have to pull out the old crystal in the receiver and plug in a new crystal on the frequency that I need. I HOPE this helps. Thanks.

Asking a follow up question to extra_230:

If he wanted to you one TX on ch45 would you get a 45 crystal for each receiver you were going to use per plane? (I have four planes that are going to need setting up) and do you buy them in pairs or individually?

thanks

ps. i'm gonna be asking lots of questions

You can get them individually, on your recievers, if they are futaba you need to make sure all recievers are high band before changing to ch45. futaba recievers are classified as low band for ch11-35 & high band for ch36-60. You can not put a high band crystal in a low band reciever & vice versa. If all of your recievers are high band then you have no problem, just buy some crystals & install them. If you arent running futaba equip. then again no problem, just buy & install crystals for ch45. You can order crystals from most any of the large hobby dealers such as tower hobbies, horizon hobby & so on, also your local hobby shop can get them for you or look in the radio equip. for sale section in this forum, there may be some for sale.
Hope this helps
