Actually a bit more involved than that
Some rx only ran at a particular speed - 1024/2048.
Without a full listing - I cant remember - but basically the rxs must be from same family 1024/DSM2 etc... When first 2048 tx/rx arrived -this caused some puzzlement

The last time this subject came up, Andy indicated that it was just the same Protocol that mattered.

For some reason I can't edit my earlier post...

Just thinking about multiple RXs bound to the same model memory as per my vid above.. they are all DSM2 Helis..

I wonder what would happen with the newer DSMX / Telemetry BNF helis if you bind more than one at the same time?

Or a combo of DSM2 / DSMX - I'll try it later when I get home..
It is my understanding that if you Bind multiple receivers to the same Model Memory, they each need to be the same Protocol ( both DMS2 or both DSMX). The Model Memory stores the Protocol for the receivers it is Bound to.
Yes, you are right.. I was able to bind multiple DSM2 helis or multiple DSMX Helis to the same model memory and they worked simultaneiously. But I was not able to bind one DSM2 and one DSMX model to the same model memory.. Thought that might be the case but was curious..

"Protocol" = DSM2/DSMX + 11/22ms. That gives 4 different protocols.

Thanks for the clarification. I never use 11ms so that was never an issue.

satellite receiver when the manual doesn't even tell me that?

I have verified that it is not functional on my DX8. It appears to bind, but does not work. I have submitted an eBay claim on it.

The really stupid thing is that I paid more for that one than I have for two other AR8000s on eBay which included the satellite receiver, and actually work.
I've been picking them up for around $75 brand new, complete and working, from people who got them free with their DX8 and don't need them.
