Default How to use a capacitor in a long servo lead

I have read some article refering to capacitors as a noise trap. I have three questions:

which 2 wires (out of the 3 on a servo) do you connect the capacitor to ?

what size of capacitor will do the trick ?

Should it be at the servo end or at the receiver end?

Cheers,

Do not use a capacitor as a noise trap. Use a ferrite core and wrap the lead around it several times. You can get ferrite cores from electronics shops, and I believe horizon carries them

Capacitors will help, use 0.005 to .01 microfarads between the positive lead and ground and one between the signal lead and ground at the reciever end--right on the reciever printed circuit board if possible. Another much larger one between the positive and negative lead at the servo end can help but must be so large that it is not a practable solution--10 microfarads or larger--to minimise the voltage dip when the motor first starts to conduct on each command from the internal switching. On long leads you must use heavier than normal servo wire and have the very best in connectors.

Capacitors may help,But what you really need is a "buffer" to clean up the signal without altering it.You sound like you are handy at electronics,So here is a schematic for a buffer.

This should do the trick.
