Default Super T8FG and R2008SB

I am rather new at this hobby... Again, since the last time I was big in it everything was running FM crystals. So these new systems are pretty much unformiliar to me.

Here's what's going on:
I have aFutaba 8FGHS Super 2.4GHz 14-Channel Radio System...
Here is the Link to it just to be specifitc (
http://helidirect.com/futaba-8fg-sup...li-p-23487.hdx)

And I have a second helicopter that I
am trying to get flying so I bought a reciever that I think/thought/don't know to work with the Tx.
Futaba R2008SB 8-Channel 2.4 S-FHSS Reciever.

And I can't get these two to link up.

I followed the proceedures in the Tx manual. (less than one meter apart)
Turn on Tx.. Transmittering led lights up..
Turn on Rx (with 7.4v direct plug in / also tried regulated 6.0v)..Press and hold Rx link button for 2 seconds..

** But then, the Rx led just blinks and doesn't go solid green.

I
have tried this in 7ch mode, multi, and mult2 modes.. and leaving it for up to 5 mins and nothing.. just red blinking.

Is there a compatability issue that I missing or something? I made sure to get them to be both have spread spectrum. I
even tried cerimonial link dance... No worky. Anyone have any idea what I should do here?

My friend said there should be a problem but he has steered me wrong before.

Worried about this:
This is the R2008SB 2.4GHz S.Bus S-FHSS 8 Channel Receiver
for use with the Futaba 8J 2.4GHz Computer Radio System.

The transmitter is8F not the 8J. The Tx is FASST and the receiver you bought is FHSS. They are not compatible.

Also would like to add that that receiver is also an s-bus. If that's what your looking for great, but if not, well, read some more.

I'd take that R2008SB receiver off your hands If you'd like.

ace:
I was looking for s-bus, for the future but I doubt I would actually need it.

darrolair:
I was just about to ebay it for $40 + shipping.. which probably won't be much. I think it's like 5 bucks shipping.
I only took it out of the box, tried it.. Spoke mean words to it and put it back in box.. so it's brand new... Although I understand that verbal abuse doesn't really kill the value as much as physical.. :P

If you are really serious about buying it off me, send me PM...
