Tactic/Futaba Question
Not getting an answer in Tactic support, so I thought I'd ask here.
In the Tactic manual it states:
3. Turn the Tx power switch on. For computer radios having the
option to transmit a signal when Tx power is turned ON, make sure
“YES” is selected.
I have a Futaba 7c faast radio. What does this mean to me?
Thanks

RE: Tactic/Futaba Question
Nothing, since the 7C does not seem to have an option to disable the RF output, only the ability to output low power for range testing.
Is this question in reference to the Tactic Anylink module? With my 8FG I purposely turn off the FASST output on the 8FG when using the Anylink module.

RE: Tactic/Futaba Question
Yes, it is in reference to the Tactic module. So from what you're saying, Pete, I do nothing in regards to this. I don't have that option. Correct? Thanks!

The 7C is an older Tx and does not have the startup screen of newer high end Tx which when
first powered on displays a screen asking if your want to start transmitting straight away :Yes or No.
"No" option permits users of such modern Tx, e.g. Hitec RCDAurora 9, to spend time
setting up a new model without wasting power or in the rare instances causing
'interference' within the home.
The roundtrainer port plughas two pins shorted whichdisables 7C's ownrf output.
(if in doubt, user can remove the Tx module whilst using as a trainer slave or with Anylink)

RE: Tactic/Futaba Question
Interesting...original post was on a Friday morning and a complaint that he hadn't been answered by the following morning. Please realize that we usually get to all support posts within 1-2 business days. This is only the first business day AFTER the original post. Also, we look through RCU once per day, usually first thing in the AM, and will miss things that come in after we've gone through our forums.
That all being said, the above are correct. You just plug it in a you're good to go. Please note that the instructions stated that you turn the RF off if the transmitter has the option, otherwise you just ignore it.
