Default PCM or FM, please help...

Hi,
I'm just about done with me exact scale Spacewalker. The thing took me 1 and a half years to build so far, and i need a radio. I want to spend between $250-$300 on a radio with at least 7 channels. Does an FM work with a gas motor? I've heard that it can lead to problems. Do i have to get a PCM, and aslo what radio should i get then?

YOu can run FM with a gasser no problem. I have done, and am doing it now. With PCM you can tell it to do a little bump of the elevator or throttle to idle if it gets hit that way if it does in the air you will know on the ground.. Your choice.

As to radio's, whats your preference? JR or Futaba?
