What is an ESC?
I know that an ESC is an electronic speed controller but is it neccessary on nitro cars?I'm assuming not but I want to make sure though, as I'm rebuilding my Traxxas Rustler's electrical system...
Thanks in advance!

RE: What is an ESC?
If you have the nitro rustler, then you don't need it. The servo will connect to the throttle and brake. On the Rustler VXL you will need the ESC to operate the motor and a BEC (battery eliminator circuit) to power the reciever and servos from your main battery. The battery for the motor will be a 7.4 volt NiMH or a 11.1 volt LiPo. The reciever operates on 4.8 to 6 volts.

RE: What is an ESC?
I have the nitro Rustler with the TRX.15 Pro in it. Sorry I wasn't very clear on that. Like two minutes after I posted this I did a google search and saw that you guys had answered this question a million times over. Sorry for wasting your time...
