Default DSM2 Rx Smaller Than AR400, Full Range

Does anyone know of a Rx smaller than the AR400 that is full range? I have a Kelly sailplane which I have been flying with an orange park flyer Rx and am routinely running out of range. I've used AR6100 Rxs in 1/2A planes and run out of range (and crashed). I'm using AR400,500&600 series successfully in my small stuff now but need a smaller form factor. For the Kelly three channels is sufficient.

Thanks,

John C

Of course not! However, I have run out of range on AR6100e. Interesting, the original AR6000s I bought with the original Spektrum seem to have more range than the later 6100 series by my experience. I was flying my Skimmer 400 sailplane this am and got low and pretty far away and no issues with the 6000 in it. Current Tx is a JR 9303 I've had for several years. What I want to do is replace the mini orange Rx with something with more range in my Kelly. Maybe I'll need to take the case off an AR400.

The AR400 is a full-range (order of a mile) receiver.

The AR6100 family is parkflyer (a few hundred yards) receivers.

The AR6000 had a diversity antenna system more akin to the AR400 than the AR6100, which explains the range. But it's also huge and heavy.

The AR400 is quite a bit smaller and lighter than the AR6000. If you're using it in the same model, you'll probably have to add ballast.

Thanks for confirming my findings among the various Spektrum Rxs. I'll get a couple more AR400s and see about taking the case off one.
