I have all Power HD 1214th servos in my 27% Extra 260. Can I run them unregulated on a 2 cell lipo. I heard of some doing it and they have no issues. Does anyone here have any experience running them unregulated or know of anyone that has?

Have not used them yet but the metal box they came in have speed and power specs for both 6 and 7.4 volts printed on the box. Seems like you should be OK......... RJ

Thanks for the response RJ. I did read the specs and noticed they could run at 7.4 volts. My worry is that a 2 cell lipo fully charge is that I'm closer to a little over 8 volts. Do you think that factor will pose an issue?

AJ, I don't think it will be a problem. I am running a whole slew of Hitec servos that are spec'd for 4.8 and 6.0 volts on A123 batteries which run a little over 7 volts off the charger. No problems yet...........RJ

How are those Power HD servos working out. I have a set and they are gobbling up a huge amount of current. They suck the juice out of a 6.6 volt life battery fast.
