I have a friend in Oslo that collects radios. However I dont know how to contact him.
His name is Pojo Stephonsen. I did at one time find his email address thru the Norwegian aeroclub. You could try that.
BTW do you know what TTPW stands for? Most guys said it was Too Tough to Piddle with.

TTPW -- I think it stands for "two tone Pulse Width. I built one in 1957.

Did you build the tube version?
I always thought it was way to complex for what it did.
You could do the same with a mighty midget motor and a good pulser

I don't remember the details of the design. I saw Walt Good fly it at the Hobo meet (1957) in Syracuse, NY and it was the closest control I had seen to flying a full scale plane. Walt had Rudder, Elevator and motor control and would do verticle dives and pull out at the last moment.

I finished my copy and kept wairing out the mighty midget motors before I got it in a model. Never did fly it. I built a Marcy Tone shortly after that and flew it alot.

Jerry Herzog (I think it was) transistorized the design and a friend of mine in Norway built it. He did a beautiful job of it but we couldnt get it to work.
At the first international pattern contest(1960) in Dubendorf Switcherland Dr Good was there as the team manager for the US.
I tried to talk to him about it but he wouldn't try to answer any questions. He just referred me to Jerry.
.I designed a ttpw system in 1963 but I was able to get 4 analog channels. I flew it several times but the digital systems appeared, and the "digital" servo they had were much better than the true analog servos I used so I scrapped my design.
The digital servo then is what we call analog today.
In fact all servos we use are analog.

I just found a schematic for the TTPW receiver in the Nov/Dec.1957 issue of Grid Leaks. It uses 4ea 1AG4 tubes and 1ea 1AH4 tube.
I looked through the Grid Leaks I have and did not find any tranistorized version but I would be surprised if it did not exist.
