Ace micropro 8000 transmitter question
I have a micropro that throttle on the right stick. How do I change this to the left stick? Does the programming in the radio change the modes?

No programming is required. You have to go in the tx and physically change the throttle ratchet from the right stick to the left stick. Then plug the throttle servo into the channel controlled by the left stick

dirtybird,
As I recall the Micropro 8000 was a very powerful computer radio for its day, with lots of mixing capability, so at the least you'd have to switch the throttle and elevator potentiometer outputs in the transmitter, I think??
propjaw,
You could always give the good folks at Radio South (no, they aren't in South Toms River) http://www.radiosouthrc.com/
I lived just a bit south of you, at Exit 68 for 29 years, and flew with the Pine Barren Modelers for many years
Cheers,
Pete

1) Move the throttle rachet over to the left side stick and put the centering springs from the left stick to the now elevator stick.
Swap the wires between the elevator and throttle pot.
Do the SETJOYSTICK routines.
2) Move the throttle rachet over to the left side stick and put the centering springs from the left stick to the now elevator stick.
Get my level 7 EPROM and it allows dynamic stick assignment and you don't have to move any wires.
