Default JR DMSS Telemetry Not Quite There Yet

I am an electric guy. All my 60 size aircraft are electric. I still have and use a JR 9503 DSMX but I bought a XG11 because I wanted telemetry. I have to admit the TX RX connection is solid. I was setting up a new airplane yesterday and after installing the receiver I grabbed a 5 cell Nimh receiver battery and powered up. I was setting up my aileron servo throws when I noticed one servo quit on me. I first looked at the wiring. All connections looked good. I remembered the new receivers have built in telemetry receiver voltage . I saw 3.8 volts, still connected to the aircraft and still had one servo operating. I was pleased having lived thru the old brown out issue.
Two things I am disappointed in. The TLS1-PWR DMSS Power System Sensor for V / A / W / mWh is limited to a 4S Lipo. I do not think there is a market for it. Think it is also way overpriced. Being an electric guy this sensor needs to be able to handle at least an 8S Lipo. After that you move to high voltage. Second issue is the transmitter does not have audio alarms. If your listening JR you are moving in the right direction but have room for improvement.

I saw a JETI radio system at our flying field last week and wow! It had every bell and whistle I was hoping JR was going to have. If JR does not quickly incorporate these improvements I may jump ship in 2015.
