Default Model programming storge

Wanting to move radio module from one to another radio. Would like to know where the model programming is stored, is it in the module or in th circuit board in the radio? THANKS for responce.

Typically, the data for individual models is stored in the memory of the transmitter (or on a flash memory card for backup). The transmitter modules only control the radio transmission output.
