Spektrum rant

My Feedback: (1)
I am looking hard at getting a DX18 now. It is kind of a shame it does not come with the 12 channel RX out of the gate. Then if you buy the 8 channel expansion RX, that only gets you to 17 channels. I wish there was a purchase option to get the TX with the 12 channel RX, because that is what I need channel wise. I do not want to have to go out and buy another RX just to get the capability I need, that should be included with the radio to begin with! Maybe it is not practical, but to me if you sell an 18 channel radio, it should come with an 18 channel RX, right?

We sold the XP8000 as part of the DX10t bundle when we first introduced it (the DX10t is an 18-channel tx too). What we found was almost all of them went to ebay because so few people actually needed all 18 channels. Why add the burden of something so few people will use to everybody's purchase?!?!?
I think they made the right choice. Even 12-channel users are not a very large part of the market. Most people buying a DX18 aren't buying it for the 18 channels (some are), they're buying it for all the other features.

No, that's very false.
The resolution on the base 12 channels remains 2048. When you enable X-Plus, the resolution for the channels on the XP8000 module is 512 and the latency is variable 22-88ms. The base 12 channels remain 2048/22ms.
