Using a commercial controller to build a RC plane
Hello!
I've just hopped in to the whole rc world so this is all very new to me, just a warning :P
Currently I'm trying to build my own rc plane. I was about to purchase a 2.4ghz radio controller when I remembered I already had one already from a Quadcopter I bought recently.
http://www.amazon.com/UDI-U818A-2-4G...2&keywords=udi
I was wondering if I could use that remote to control my rc plane. All I know about the controller is that it runs off a 2.4ghz radio chip. (see image below)
Would this work?
Thanks,
Cole

not easily.
receiver is embedded in quad... you'd have to dissassemble.
I highly doubt receiver has connectors for a servo setup as you'd have in your plane. If you have some engineering background you could try it... but your honestly better off buying one intended to fly airplanes.
