The AR6100 is a DSM2-only receiver.

If your DX5e is new, and if you're in Europe, the law no longer allows us to sell you a DSM2-capable transmitter. You must upgrade to a DSMX receiver.

Hi Andy,

Thanks for the reply. I have both an AR6100e and also an AR6260 which is DSMX and both the receivers will not communicate with the DX5e.

Where am I going wrong?

I don't know. Sounds like it might be a good time to call your local Product Support office.

Ok Will have to do that, One more question, will I be able to use the AR6100e DSM2 at all. I am building a 1/35 RC sherman tank (see Pic)and this is probably the only receiver that will fit inside the chassis. I would if possible dearly love to use this

An old DX5e will work with DSM2. A new one will not. Product Support can help you with that.

If space is a concern, I would look at the AR6310 or AR6335 receivers.

Do you cycle your throttle stick to arm the motor? It takes about two passes to get the arming. Also), you may need to hit the prop with a stick, sometimes it needs a nudge (kinda strange). Also, moving tx antenna to an angle might help connection if that's problem.

I don't understand what you are saying here. My JR 9303 is DSM2 and works with DSMX receivers and are backwards compatible to DSM2 transmitters. The DX18QQ transmitter works with all the Spektrum and JR receivers that I have.

That is true.

The radios going into Europe now are not allowed by law to support DSM2. Some of our entry-level radios in the US follow the standards for Europe simply to help reduce cost by having only 1 SKU to manage.

Are you asking something about your 9303?

The DXe is DSMX-only.

It works fine for quads. Also works for helis (we sell at least 1 heli with the DXe).

Remember, in these modern models the flight controller does all the magic with the sticks. You don't need to use anything like rates or expo in the tx any more. The DXe does support some of those features, though, and with revisions it's supporting more and more features. A DXe is a very good investment.
