Default Fried or not fried ?

I bought a pro boat 50amp waterproof esc. If I accidently plugged the battery into the motor outlet wires is it fried ? or is it harmless and I get a reprieve for my stupidity or have I learned a lesson the hard way ?

Ooooh, good question.
I'm assuming this is a brushed motor ESC, because if it is a brushless ESC it has three leads and you would not have made this mistake.
I don't know from experience, but I would assume that since motors produce a good inductive kick, the output drive would be particularly robust. I'm guessing better than 50-50 it survived and it's worth hooking up.
