TTX300 help with light bar
I'm using my TTX300 to try to power my light bar, I have it plugged into the third channel on my receiver. When I plug the light bar into the receiver it turns on, when entering program mode for the third channel (Hold down upper third channel button on controller and turn power button on ((Controller then blinks five times)) No matter how many times I press the upper or lower third channel button in programming mode the power bar will not turn off.
The manual can be found on this page http://www.tacticrc.com/transmitters...300/index.html
The steps I am using are
-Hold down upper third channel button
-Turn power switch on
-Observe led lights blinking 5 times on controller
-Let go of Upper third channel button
-Use the upper and lower buttons to try and set on/off state for channel 3
This is my first RC and first time wiring something with it and first time trying to program my controller. My main question is really just What am I doing wrong? I also wanted to make sure my understating of the third channel is right, the third channel can operate in a simple on/off state of I am not mistaken?
I've added some pics of my build, it's my first time

I would not be able to assist you with the transmitter programming, but if your light bar has just positive and negative for power then it will come on when you turn the vehicle on- there is no ability to switch this on and off as you would need to have some kind of controller built into the light bar that utilizes a signal lead (along with the power leads) to determine when the power is to turn on and off from signal input by the transmitter/receiver. There is no switched capability.
