Binding Radio
I have a Futaba 7C transmmitter that went south on me so I am changing to a Futaba 10C, both FASST protocol radios. However, I have two Futaba receivers that refuse to bind to the new radio. These two receivers never gave me any problems before and I assume that they are still bound to the 7C. I have had no trouble binding other Futaba receivers to the new transmitter nor have I had any problem binding FrSky receivers to the new radio. Does anyone know any tricks to bind stubborn receivers?

For those receivers that you had been using with the 7C, you need to set the 10C to 7CH modulation for the models that have those receivers, not fasst multi. The FrSky receivers will link to either mode, but the Futaba receivers with 7 or less mustvbe linked in 7CH mode.

7CH mode? Is that covered in the manual that came with the radio? And I thank you very much for the intelligent and well thought out response that actually makes sense.

I went to the shop today and got out the 10C manual and found some references to 7C transmission. I found the correct sub forum, changed to 7C, and the two receivers bound immediately. Thank you for the heads up. I was ready to discard two perfectly good receivers until this thread. Thanks again.
