Default Tactic tr625 receiver with 6.6v lifepo4 battery

Hello. I use tactic radio with tr625 reciever. This receiver is rated from 4v-6v. However value hobby has lifepo4 6.6v batteries which state that because of lowere voltage it makes it suitable for receivers that use 6v receiver Batteries. Will I have problems using these batteries? Anybody out there using these receivers with lifepo4 batteries

Jerry, get in touch with Tactic and see what they say. Also, check your servo specs. Dan.

Yes, don't listen to me, I don't deal with these radios almost every day of the week.

I have that setup and use it for reviews of Hobbico products and it works just fine on LiFe source batteries that they send me with that receiver for the reviews.

But by all means, feel free to seek a 2nd opinion.

Feel free, they work great. They have many advantages over nickel based batteries and only one real drawback. I'll give you a rundown when I get back from flying but if this tells you anything, i run them in my turbine jets.

Can I ask you 1 more question? I have a tactic ttx660 radio. It calls for 4 of 1.5v alkeline batteries or 4.8v nicad or nimh battery. Do you know if life batteries works in transmitter as well?

For what it is worth, I have two Tactic 850's and one 650. I have been using Eneloop LSD NiMh cells in them for the past 2+ years with perfect success. They hold a charge almost as good as a LiPo yet you can still use the supplied charger and charge them in place. No damage if you forget and leave the charger on for over 24 hours. Just as reliable (if not more so) than LiPo's and much safer plus they have a longer life time.

I have a Tactic 850 and 650 will they support a 6.6V Life battery in lieu of a 4.8V battery?
