Default Aurora 9X

I have an Aurora 9X and the manual that came with it says that if you have a LiPo battery in it and attempt to charge it with the wall wart that is included with it, damage will occur. What damage would that be?

There is risk of shorting both the charger and the transmitter out, as well as overcharging the battery and causing a fire. The included charger is an NiMH charger that will charge the stock Tx battery at a low rate (overnight charger, essentially).

If you use a LiPo battery with your Aurora 9X then you need to remove the LiPo to charge it.

If the transmitter has a Lipo. You have to remove it and charge it with a Lipo charger.
I'm just emphasizing the above warning!!!!
