Default Buddy Box, Secondary Radio in Mode 1

Her Y'all,

Quick question that I hope someone can answer. I'm a former flight instructor and I want to help my nephew to learn to fly. Problems arise due to him having had a stroke a few years ago which limits his use of his right arm and hand. Is it possible in a buddy box set up to have the primary radio in Mode 2 (which I fly) and the secondary radio in Mode 1? It would make it easier for him to fly, of course he won't be able to operate the throttle or rudder effectively but I can make those adjustments before he takes over. Main question is can the TXs be in different modes and still operate properly.

Thanks
Oz

Hi Oz!
No problem at all with the buddy box operating in a different stick mode with modern computer radios. The channel order sent over the cable or wireless trainer setup is the same, regardless of stick mode.
