Spektrum Telemetry with Taranis

I have a Taranis transmitter and just got a new trainer plane. If I use a Spektrum RX (have an extra one laying around) will I be able to get Telmetry data. I built a DSM2 module from a chip off a Spektrum Transmitter so its using DSM, but wasnt sure if Taranis could ingest that data even if its a DSM module? Any ideas?
