Futaba 14MZ update 1.31
Hi All,
Does anyone know how to get an old 14 MZ update, v1.31? I believe you need this to run the T14MZUtility.exe program?
Thanks
Keith

Hi Modtron,
Its fine now, I've managed to source the update
I want to change from mode 1 to 2. You have to mechanically swap things around inside the tx, but you also have to do a software change to call RHS stick elevator, LHS stick throttle. This is because the throw of the throttle stick is normally reduced by end stops to something like 80% throw. When you change the modes around you have to recalibrate the RHS (now elevator) to accept 100% stick throw and viceversa. Otherwise after 80% elevator you will get no further signal to the servo.
Thanks

Keith, be careful, as I seam to remember that there is also a resistor on the main PCB that needs to be swapped over to accomplish the change from Mode 1 to Mode 2.
Best to give Jim a call at the Futaba Service centre at Ripmax (0208 282 7500) - he will be able to confirm this.

Hi Modtron,
Just checked with Jim and its fine; the resistor related more to the 9ZAP and some14MZ's where they changed stick pots from "blue coloured" to "white coloured". All I'm doing with the mode change is transferring a ratchet and adjusting software to facilitate the mode change, so nothing electrical in any case.
Many thanks
